This should be quick. I tried aftermarket headlights in my '00, but to say the least, they are crap (check my gallery). So, I want to do the '05 conversion. Finding the headlight assemblies on Rock Auto is easy enough. I really only have two questions. The first is what is the part number of the conversion harness that has the plug for the existing '00 harness and the '05+ headlight on the other end? Also, in reading all of the threads on this, I have seen a couple of notes that additional clips or screws are needed. Can someone quickly explain this? The current lights have the two srews at the bottom of the parking/turn signals, and then three posts that go through the header that have clips on the back (one bottom right, and two on top). How do the '05+ differ? I guess one last question is how do the '05+ adjust vertically and horizontally?
I was ready to change mine soon to the ones in your gallery, I'll be watching your post on installing the '05's, Were the others cracking or turning charbaugh?
Hey there, just put the 05 HD headlights on my truck. I ripped the old ones out and had to cut the header with a dremel. I cut a bunch of the plastic out. No vertical or horizontal adjustments are with the new buckets but I will be able to adjust vertically with the top mounting screw. I just put a screw through the headlight bucket tab and part of the header. I bought mine off ebay and they came with a harness. Pretty easy swap and they look great being one piece and having the black trim inside. Bad with links and picture posting but it should be easy enough to find on ebay, cost about $150 with shipping.

Im not sure about aftermarket 05 style lights but i did the 05 conversion and like posted below i have to cut out my header panel (no big deal) and get some pigtails the newer lights are H13(9008) not 9007 so you will need pigtails for that or a conversion harness but there are also two more clips on the top with two more screws no just the botton like on the 04 blinkers and mine are OEM headlights so i have a spot like on the 04 to adjust veritcally but there is no horizontal on the 05 headlights.
