I completed my tuner install and dpf/cat delete and cai yesterday. Ran into complications with the exhaust part but $100 fixed that. I couldn't get the connection b/n cat and pipe loose. The weld nut at the flange after downpipe threw me off as well. Further inspection was to turn the bolt not the nut. I found a muffler shop that did it in an hours time vs I could have been fighting it for hours.
Truck went into regen mode monday and I drove it to completion. Wednesday it decided it wanted to go into regen again. I would put it in park so it would kick out knowing I had the tuning stuff at home but couldn't install yet. Yesterday thrusday, I left the office at 10 am and took care of business.
NO MORE REGENS. Nice to know that I won't have to keep looking at my passenger side mirror when truck is in regen to see if I am smoking out the city and the extra power is great. There were rough shifting but this morning's drive into office it seemed smoothed out.
I wonder after removing the probes if a good cleaning to them would have helped my situation about smoking for two miles when regen starts and the constant regens now at around 60 miles.
You will love the mini Maxx. Your rough shifting is normal at first. You have to do at least three WOT runs for the tranny to re-learn and smooth out.
I went ahead and did a full turbo back system today. Holy $h/+!!! You wouldn't believe the difference. I've been running the mini Maxx for a year the 4" pipe is noticeably better.
