I can't get a good pic but the good intake goes into the side of the radiator shroud. You should already have this style. The 302/351 style went up and clipped onto the top of the core support.
Youre intake should be like the black "box" towards the bottom of this pic.

+1 on the cold air intakes sounding cool tho.
