1994 e-150 van and the interior fan speed switch only works on HIGH. I remember a thread about a open resistor in the ac / heater box and it was available from Autozone but my search came up empty. Plus AZ counter guys are useless.....
Typically Jamnjm if you have any fan operation at all the dash switch can be considered good---at least for the moment. I've had two of them over heat and melt to the point they stop working but that's not too common a problem. Chances are it is your resistor bridge. NAPA or a better parts outlet---even RockAuto.com or the stealership tend to have more knowledgeable staff as well.
Here's an image that might help you locate this part if you don't already know:
I have a 99 ford f350 the heater only works on high
I have replace the resistor twice and replaced the fan control switch
can,t figure out why the resistor keep going out

Jinks your situation might be the blower motor drawing too much current for the switch and/or resistor bridge to handle, making them fail but not tripping any fuses etc. If you're using budget friendly parts that too might contribute.
When changing the switch or the resistor do you notice any signs of excessive heat due high amp draw? My '00 E250 lost all but the high fan setting and there was a faint odor of melted plastic too. I discovered the switch had melted internally and its wire harness connector also deformed. Luckily both were available from NAPA and somewhat of an easy installation.
Its highly unusual to go through two switches and resistors so quickly---has to be something else causing this.
