If I was serious about a supercharger I'd get the belt driven kind. Problem is they are too expensive. The book value of my truck is somewhere in the $9K-$10K area, seems like a little crazy to put a $5k supercharger on it. I got all the stuff in my signature for less than $3K by shopping around. I do have some other plans like roof racks and headlights, maybe bumpers or a brush gaurd... but I can't see spending too much more on this truck.
Perhaps someday I can have Tim build me a new Excursion out of an F350 or something.
A lot of these guys here have bought 20k trucks and put 20k into them. 5k into a 10k truck is nothing. but why? do youw ant to go fast? Get a diesel, they're already turbocharged and pretty damned zippy.
after I saw the videos of that truck with headers, catback, and the SC on a v10 smoking dual rear wheels and sounding like a banshee from hell, I was a believer. lol.
My friends dad had a Porsche he raced with gasoline leaf blowers hooked up for more boost haha. he had them rigged to the throttle and had to start them before he raced! That was when I was like 9 so that's all I can remember.n
He also raced boats and supercharged Chevy s-10's with like 9#'s of boost!
