The "TORNADO"
Anyone ever tried the "Tornado"? The thing you put into your air intake toe "swirl" the air to get a better mixture? I was watching the infomertial with my wife and we were laughing at it (not to mention that her dad is a hot rodder and he also laughs at it). Is it for real...not that I want one...but is it a bunch of ******.

Actually we had the same discussion in another forum and everyone kinda laughed, my dad tried the airraid intake spacer on his expedition and it kinda had about the same effect as adding a K&N drop in filter. Everyone who tried the tornado said they noticed no improvement in milage, horsepower or toqre. I guess a couple of people had dynoed it and someone said the government is after them for false claims or something like that.
Hey look at this way, at least they put effort into the infomercials!!

Here is another sucker gimmick to add to the list. I was on e-bay looking for supercharger equipment and noticed an item hawking itself as a supercharger add in that would boost your HP by 25%. It was an air intake, in-line, electric fan (aka supercharger) that moved an impressive 250 CFM of air. At that rate, the spinning fan is more of an impediment than a help to engine airflow. My guess is that a 4.0 engine sucks around 400-500 CFM air at full throttle (possibly more). All I see this device does is part some sucker with his hard earned money.
