Question Can it be SUPERCHARGED

has anyone tried or thought about putting on a aftermarket universal supercharger on their F-Series?

I found one on eBay and thought that I would ask a couple questions about it.

Maybe I will get lucky & someone here has done it.

Electric superchargers don't work. It says that it blows 150 CFM, your motor sucks much more than that naturally aspirated. It would actually be a hindrance.

The fan for your heater is rated more than 150 CFM.

Extra air without extra gas = nothing much.

Let me add, someone with only 20 sales that already has two negatives might not be the best person to buy from on E-Bay. Check out that both bidders have concealed IDs, put 2+2 together.

I found something advertised at http://www.electricsupercharger.com the other day. It looks like
a better deal (although more money). I wish I knew someone
who's tried one!!!

According to Ken, you are correct, 1psi is not enough! - however,
the other unit that was mentioned previously was only 150cfm, and this 1psi unit is 750cfm, and still too small.

New guy here! LOL...I think those SC's were meant for the new breed of HYBRID electrical cars. Like these guys told ya....Save yourself the money and the headache, it WONT do JACK 4 ya! Save some money for a REAL SC, like a Vortech or see how much Ford wants for the one they use on the 03 Cobra, although buying from car manufact's tends to always be a pricey proposition. Do as you please, just my .02 worth!

No they really don't work. A Supercharger is a SUPERCHARGER and it never was designed to work off electric.

Thumbs up can it be supercharged

I have a @2000 EB Expo 5.4L with an S type Vortech blower.
If it works with my truck, it should work with the F150.
