well i found a parts truck im gonna take the tranny out of. i beleive its a 96 f250 with a 351 and e40d 4x4. im takeing the tranny out for starters to put in my 92 f150 with a 5.0 e40d 4x4. my ? is whats the best shift kit out there? i want to do some stuff to it before i put it in my truck. does it pay to put a larger oil pan on it or not? im also planing on a trans cooler for sure. any other sugestions will be appreciated. thanks guys.
You will need to swap in the solenoid block from the `92. Best shift improvement is to get a Punisher valve body. Deeper pan is a waste of money. Auxillary oil cooler for sure.
You're gonna get trashed for using a higher stall in a truck... But not from me.
If you have the cooling I love a higher the factory stall converter. And with the lockup, you'll never know its there while cruising.
What is this punisher vb. I need to loOk this up I guess
i was worried about the soleniod block being diff. that sucks cause im not sure mine is any good. thanks for the info everybody. gonna look up the punisher now
