Looking at either a 6.0 cooler or a tru-cool option for my 95 F350...in central Texas my tranny is running at 180 - 215 degrees without towing...so looking to add a better cooler and probably a bigger pan. Does anyone make a complete kit for a 95' or am I stuck buying the hardware and hoses as needed after I get the kit.
The 6l cooler is nice and I might have done it on mine. My intercooler placement however made that install impossible. I did the trucool and it is mounted to the back of the bumper.
i have had no temp issues after the trucool and am very happy.
Installed the Tru-Cool Max 40K Tuesday afternoon and the tranny runs much cooler....Maxed out at 150 degrees on a 100 degree central Texas day; before it would get up to 215 deg....it'll be a few more weeks before I'll be towing anything but I like the results so far...Install wasn't hard...took me about two hours (I'm slow)...was able to use the two mount points from the old cooler and added a 3rd mount point below so it doesn't rub or move around.
