New springs

Hi all, I lurk on here and don't say much but I sure learn a lot from everyone on here so thanks!

I broke a right front leaf yesterday and had a lot of good luck really... it was like 2 minutes from my driveway, didn't cause any other damage and I was planning to change em to V codes anyway!

Thanks again to everyone who did all of this before me, I will look into some stuff up here in the cold frozen north (-21 C this am!) that may be in stock and check their pricing or I will order them from Stengel or Husky depending on cost to ship as well.

Will let you know how it all pans out this week, gotta get it done asap as it's my work truck.

Dave

Dave,

Be sure to check with Tousley Ford in Michigan - for factory springs they were the cheapest (cheaper than having my local dealer get them for me). V codes and rear blocks would have only cost 80-90 to truck ship to Sacramento...they seemed to have the cheapest factory parts (with shipping) that I could find.

Robert,

I check with Tousley Ford web site with Spring code 2C3Z5310HA from your other post and they don't have anything with that stock no. What is the stock no. for V code to ask Tuosley Ford?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I had to call them - the site didn't work for me either. I think it's something with the format of the numbers (spaces, etc.?). When I called in they were able to look them up no problem. Here are the prices they quoted me:
Front:
2C3Z5310HA, Front suspension - Suspension components - Leaf spring Leaf spring, f250 pick-up - 4wd - leaf spring - 1999-04 super duty 1999 - 2001, 2 each, $129.58 per ($259.16 total)
F81Z5705ZA, Front suspension - Suspension components - Spring - U-bolt U-bolt Either Side - 4wd 2001 - 2005, 4 each, $15.68 per ($62.72 total)

Rear:
F81Z5598FA, Rear suspension - Suspension components - Spacer - 4wd 137, 142" wheelbase Left 1999 - 2001, 1 each, $63.88 per ($63.88 total)
F81Z5598GA, Rear suspension - Suspension components - Spacer - 4wd 137, 142" wheelbase Right 1999 - 2001, 1 each, $61.02 per ($61.02 total)
N803770S436, BOLT M16X2.0X108/343, 4 each, $10.46 per ($41.48 total)

Total before shipping: $488.26

Shipping for the springs only were $85 to $95 to the Sacramento area from MN...

I believe so, but I ended up deciding to do the V/Modded B, so I didn't follow up any further than that one call/estimate. I need custom length bolts, and I found it cheaper to have them made at a local spring shop. You might want to check a shop near you...factoring in the weight and shipping, might be cheaper to get them locally.

I am officially jealous now! I go tto pay $211 per frickin spring for mine today cause I needed them fast and figured I will end up paying shipping and lovely duties as well as rental fees for the crappy mini van I have so I just handed them my card!
Sucks but oh well, they do seem pretty sturdy though!
I will report when I get them installed and stop hurting from being hosed!
