Injectors and BIG numbers

I plan to do a crazy engine build just as soon as I can find a good usable spare engine in my area. I have very big plans for the engine. Im not going to pull anything so EGTs are only as much as a worry as they need to be unloaded. I would like to keep this thread as much on just injectors as possible, its the only part of my engine build that I dont have figured out interlay and Im looking for help from you guys. My goal is to have about 600-700 Hp at the wheels, I know I need to go with hybrids no doubt about that but what would be the best size to pick? 400cc?
The strength of the block and all supporting mods are all figured out, when it comes time I will open up a new thread about a full on high HP engine build. This is something that will take me awhile to do and Im sure most of the time the engine will be in my garage on the back burnner waiting for funds.
The truck will still be driven on the street when it needs to be but will not be a DD at that point, thanks for any help

Have you talked to Jim at rosewood diesel? He can build any size you want, and I'm sure he's very knowledgeable about what you would need for your build. I'm doing the same thing you are. Probably take me a year n a half. Wanna do it right the first time.

Or call Ronnie at twisted diesel. 757-491-2008. He helped build Brian J's 1069hp 7.3

I'll go out on a limb here, but it will be a lot easier to help you hit your HP goal if you let everyone know what your supporting mods will be. Fuel is only part of the equation. If you want to do this with a stock turbo and stock air intake, you won't make it. Of course you know this, but letting us know what turbo and who's tuning would be helpful. I'd also suggest you talk with your tuner about what sticks to run.

Also, for the 6 - 7 range, are you talking drugs or fuel only?

It will be all motor, I found that drugs wear off and all they do is leave you wanting more.

Turbo will more than likley be this.... maybe.... Ball Bearing Turbo - Garrett GT4294R/GT4202R (aka GT42R / GT42RS) : atpturbo.com

Big Oil.... still debating.... Riffraff Diesel: Terminator "Big Oil" Dual HPOS

Pushrods... Chromoly

Rods.... Riffraff Diesel: Hypermax Ultimax High Strength Connecting Rods

Valve springs... Riffraff Diesel: Comp Cams 910-16 Valve Spring Set

Ill proabably put a girdle on the bottom end too, just incase I step up the game later on, this is what I can remember for now and I think its right, I cant seem to find my list of goodys at the moment, Ill keep looking. Ill continue to do my home work and keep my eyes out for that engine........
I didnt really want to get into this too much because I was going to open up a new thread later down the road when I had an engine in my garage waiting, I know its hard to give advice when you only get part of the story though. I was planning to stick with DP but I havent gotten to that point quite yet that Im picking up the phone to double check myself yet, if I have to change my tunning, I will and sell what I have
Edit: Gears will also be changed to 4:56 and tires will be 38x15.5 or 40x15.5

Then call Jody and see what he recommends. Sounds like you're on the right track. Don't forget to upgrade the fuel system too though.

I think you could probably get there will less than 400 injectors if you're looking for the 600 - 650 range. Jody could tell you for sure what he's comfortable with for tuning purposes.

I think picking a tuner needs to be your first step so you can make the rest of your plans accordingly. They all have the parts they prefer to tune around.

Your going to want the Bee-Hive springs as you will need more seat pressure than the 910's have.

Here is a link to the push rods.

Riffraff Diesel: Smith Brothers Push Rods

We also have a batch of Crower rods coming in as well and offer custom piston machining.

Don't forget we can order you any turbo you want as well.

Good info to know Clay thanks. I didnt know you could get any turbo. Most of the parts I get if not all are going to be from you. Since I have your attention, does anyone make a full roller rocker setup for the 7.3? When I get to the point of getting crazy giving you all my money I will be asking you and a lot of other people there opinions.
Who knows maybe Ill go after the most powerfull single turbo'd 7.3 anyone has seen in a streetable truck
