We have had this prob for a while now. Just now thought to ask you guys what you thought. Odometer doesnt work on the truck unless you hit between 30-40 MPH. Everything else is working out fine besides the MPH dial... And like I siad it only engages when you hit 30-40 MPH. Would this mean this is going out are would it be a sensor problem?? Thanks guys
Clean the speed sensor on the top of the rearend first. Pull it out and it probably has some fine metal "dust" stuck on it. Clean it up and stick it back in. Check all the wiring connections under the truck too.
Clean it and see if the problem gets better. It could also be the speedo itself in the dash. It's all fed off the VSS signal that is made by the speed sensor.
Cleaned it. Ordered new one. Be here tomorrow. It was covered n metal gunk. If that doesn't fix it does that mean I need a new cluster, are speed cluster like you said. I have no idea when it comes to items like this... I dont know if it matter but I didn't tell u that, the actual mileage maker it self only works past 30-40 mph as well. Should of said that too. My bad... Kudos
