Hydroboost/brake controller question
Once again working on my brothers 01 PSD. Plugged trailer wiring harness into truck and something shorted. Tail lights work, but brake lights won't come on unless the brake controller button is pressed. The brakes also feel much softer and you can hear the power steering pump whining. Fluid is full in it. I don't know much about Hydroboost, is the system being harmed? We didn't have time to work on it, but I'm going to just remove the trailer brake controller for now. Any thoughts?

What kind of brake controller is it. AFIK, you are dealing with two completely different systems. Brake controller and lights are all on electrical system and hydroboost brakes deal with hydraulics. Doesn't make much sense that one could affect the other. No help but a bump to the top.
