From working on Rangers, the sensor I know as the "vehicle speed sensor" is the sensor located on top of the rear end, held in by a single bolt. Am I correct on the F-250 by calling this a VSS?
Neither O'Reilly's, Autozone, or NAPA listed a "Vehicle Speed Sensor" for a 2002 F-250 SD. O'Reilly's came up with something, overnighted it to me, then I got the one out of the truck and they didn't match.
Could someone please give to me a useful source for the VSS? I'm now stuck with no more parts places around here to visit.
My '99 SD threw a "check engine" code, translated to a VSS error, and Checker had 0 problems finding the part in their database... I think it was only like $30 or so.
