Door Locks Loose

I have searched on here multiple times and I can not find anywhere about door lock cylinders being loose and how to tighten them up. When I unlock my power door locks it is loose as if it could fall out of the hole. When I open the door, drivers side, there is a metal tab inside that can be slide in or out about a half an inch or so. Is there anything that I could do to tighten it up? Thanks for the help guys!

That metal tab is a horseshoe shaped spring. It's what holds the lock in place. Sounds like it's broken or sprung.
