Driver side locks/door handle not working

I have a 91 f150 XLT with power locks. When I put my key in the door to unlock, it will not turn the lock cylinder. I was able to get the door open from the inside by pushing out on the door and yanking like hell on the handle. when I try to manually pull up the lock post on the inside to unlock the door, it will barely move and as soon as I let go it goes back into the door.

Also when trying to open using the inside handle it does not unlock the lock like fords do. Any ideas on what is going on with this and where I might get started with taking this thing apart?
