I noticed the only decent priced replacement distributors for a 460 are HEI ones, usually Summits own brand, has anyone ever used them? Has anyone ever converted one so it uses a igntion box? I am looking to make a nice torquey engine, and I dont want a crappy ignition that wont keep up. I dont mind if I have to replace parts, but I need it to have strong power threw Idle-5500. Thanks guys!
I may look into it then. I want something nice, the trucks just going to be used as a saturday cruiser and to pull sled at the far, so I want it to have ***** but I dont need a racing ignition lol.
One of the few times I would agree with an MSD. I can see where a rev limiter could be useful pulling a sled. Cruising/normal driving with a stock engine, still prefer the DSII. The cheap HEI distributors are just plain not quality pieces and prone to problems.
