OMG, I like the F650 dash too. But need to start on upgrade the springs and the reliability of the 6.0L first.
My 6.8 was in great condition and I had a scheduled date to display our rig at the state capital building - only reason I got the 650 panel before doing the V code update.
Here is a bracket I fabricated to fit the existing holes on the frame!
Okay, after a year I finally got the frabrication done. I haven't drill any holes yet, and looking at the holes in the frame to line the bracket up to drill. For the life of me, I can't figure out how you put the bolts inside out to attach the brackets and install the nuts.

Did you have to take the bumper off?
Thanks,
Not sure how he did it (since he took the pic down), but here is something different but similar that might work...
When I got my front hitch for my old Expedition, I had to put the bolts in from the back side (you could see the holes, but never reach them). Basically, you could fit a wrench in to hold the bolt as you tighted, but the hole was too small to put the actual bolt in.
The kit came with a thin sturdy wire that was spun like a spring at the end. You put the wire in, 'threaded' the bolt into the wire, then pulled the wire (bringing the bolt along with it.
I'm wondering, if you did something simlar with say fishing line or the like, then used a magnet once you pulled the bolt into place, would that work?
Mine did since the wrench could reach the bolt as you tightened it. If that isn't an option for you, I don't think it would work since it would want to spin.
...UNLESS...you purposefully got one too long, put three nuts on it (one you will tighten, the other two you can 'sandwich' to lock the bolt into place...then when everything is on, cut the bolt down.
Would help if I could see the pic that used to be there.

There isn't any space to work with. There must be a way since he did it.
I see the pics also. VQT the rear bumper comes off pretty easy, just 4 bolts and a plug. I've pulled and reinstaled it by myself just to get better access to repaint my hitch. With the bumper off you will have easy access to those holes to mount your light brackets.
great stuff! I also would like to brighten up my reversing at night fun. I am working on a dvd and camera (already have a camera) for lining up trailers to the hitch, but having good light is nice too.
I replaced my stock reverse lights with LED and it is alright. I really would like to replace the LED's now with a halogen bulb like in fog lights. I know they get hot but really how long are you ever in reverse to heat up and possibly melt the housing a bit? The reason I am looking for bulbs in the factory housing is because I like clean looking vehicles that look stock (I'm one of those guys). So I wouldn't want big lights hanging off my bumper or anything.
However, has anyone thought about installing lights next to (or even in) the 3rd brake light? I mean a nice job where the lights are cut in and mounted flush with the trim piece and look like factory?

It isn't hanging off the bumper and from what I see so far , it recess in pretty good.
The other option with light next to the third brake light created too much work. That's where you ight place your backup camera though.
The bracket I had made was a flimsy one, not as nice as "sddesigns" did. So I don't know I should go thru the trouble of taking the bumper off now or get a better bracket "thicker bracket".
