clutch issue...
Hey guys...I just wanna know if two issues are related...on my '87 F150 the firewall is cracked/flexing around the clutch master cylinder...another issue is the master cylinder pushrod will not stay square on the pedal stud. Even with a new bushing (old one was broke), it lasts for a while...then you hear a pop and it's slid out of place.

Is this from the firewall flexing? I'm gonna buy the brace and fix it...just can't do it until monday or so...

Definitely related, but check the stud on the pedal crossover for wear or flat spotting on the side towards the front.
If the stud is worn the new plastic clip will fail in short order.

The stud didn't appear too worn today, but I'll look again. If it is, what then...new pedal?

You can buy just that little arm.
Or you can convert to a Heim joint.
