front tag mount options?

front tag mount options?
I have a tag I want to mount on the front of my '87...it's never had a tag on it. It has the holes in the front bumper that are too far apart for a tag...I'm assuming this is for a plastic box to mount a tag...anyone know any more about this? Where can I get the box? Possible dealer item? I don't wanna drill holes because the angle of the bumper will have the tag aiming down anyhow...

IIRC the front tag box would have gone there, i do see trucks with a box or similar item in the JY from time to time, I may be off, but you should be able to pick it up from either your local JY, auto parts place or the dealership... I would try JY/Pull-A-Part first or a auto parts store first before the dealer.
I know the Aerostar and Windstar had them (usually they did) as my parents had one on there Aerostar

Thanks bud. Yea I know there was that option...I guess I was more asking about it's availability...could you get it? The Aerostar (for example), might have it, but it wouldn't match up with the F150's bumper contour...

ah, musta missed that part, my bad, yea I don't see why you couldn't, if you go through the dealer it will be more but I would think they would have it still or have the ability to source it...but still I would try the JY or pull a part first, then auto parts stores as they will be less pricy, and I know AZ had one that had multiple mount holes for the odd shaped bumpers and the like, heck I may be running to the pull a part tomorrow if I can I will see if i can find one for your truck, can't promise any thing but I will at least take a look for ya and see if I might be able to score one.

have a pic of the tag your going to put on your truck? oh and no problem, im headin there anyways so I might as well try and help a fellow FTE'r out

cool, that should look really ncie on your truck! I just hope I can find two in the pull a part tomorrow hehe, Im thinking of one my self!

I know the feeling, I was lucky to find a flare side that wasn't as molested as most of the trucks in the yard here, they just set it out as I walked up to it and with in 5 minutes 5 people started molesting it for parts, and that was after I got my wood trim from her, had a over head that I woulda taken if my truck was a xtended but sadly its not so I couldn't 
oh well, least I got what I wanted, I was going to get the grill off it but someone walked off with it just as I got the last piece of wood off her oh well...and that was with in 5 minutes of me getting to the truck to tear it down for what I wanted (got the RABS off it tho)....YAY! so at least the flare side will live on in my truck in some ways, the wood and RABS
