Need some pistons, having trouble
The ones on back order are flat top w/two valve reliefs. The others are dome w/two valve reliefs.
I am not sure if there is anything special I would need to consider if using the dome pistons or what, if anything, they would do for performance. I am just not educated on them to know if they would be fine for my 351W performance motor.
With the previous flat top pistons I was using (Keith Black/KB Pistons KB151030 - Keith Black KB Performance Pistons - Overview - SummitRacing.com) I measured 0.67" clearance between the intake valve and the top of the piston and 0.78" clearance on the exhaust side.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
If so I'd try hard to stay under 9.5 compression depending on the amount of boost your running. Flat tops will get you close to that so I'd stay away from the domed ones.
