Oil Question
Have been reading a few different things and just wondering what is the best oil to run in my stock 400? I have seen rotella is suggested because of the zinc.
I changed the oil with normal valoline 10w30 and after a few miles got a tapping sound coming from the pass. side of the engine. So I am wondering if there is a certain oil I should be running in it.

Valvoline VR1 has all the stuff a flat cam needs, so does Brad Pit oil. Those 2 are the cheapest (around $6 a qt) that I can find in my area. Rotella has had a lot of their Zinc removed lately to the point I wouldn't use it without putting a DZZP additive in it. There is just no way around expensive oil anymore if you run a flat cam.
