Swapping cruise into my '91 250 Custom w/460, got all(?) the cruise stuff from a '91 XLT w/351. Got everything in, but when hitting the on button, the horn honks. Did I miss something or do something wrong? Help!
It's wheel controlled, the factory system. Is there anything different in the column between a non cruise and cruise truck. The donor truck also had a tilt column, where mine is a non tilt
If I'm remembering right all CC trucks had tilt. So I assume you changed the wheel over to get the buttons. The harnesses are not plug and play (apparently).

The turn signal/hazard switch assembly is different between a tilt and non tilt
column. The horn wiring is different because in a tilt column when
you activate the horn button, it grounds the horn relay which closes
and provides 12 volts to the horns.
With a non tilt wheel there is no horn relay. When you activate the
horn button, 12 volts goes direct to the horns.
Also you need a Vehicle Speed Sensor. It's driven by the speedometer cable.
