I am looking for some "V" and "B" code springs for the EX. How is the best way to determine which spring codes they are. I know they are not plainly stamped on the spring. Isn't there a stamp that can be compared to a chart to determine this?
Does anybody have that chart?
Here is a picture I took of the new ones for the front. I was running late and the day was gone and didn't get a picture of the back ones. I will get the ones from the back later for ya if you need/want.
I would like to know what mine are, I put them on and got about 2" lift front and rear and it rides great. The Codes don't look like any others I've seen posted here. The truck that they came off was sold but I was told it was a 2005 6.0 4x4.
Front 2C34 ADA
R268 1
Rear RPN 0395
5C34 CE Any help would satisfy my curiosity. Thanks in advance.
OK so the p/n is not stamped on the springs. Can someone decode the stamp on the spring for me?
I need to know what to look for when buying used springs.
Actually the part # is not on the spring just some type of code.
Stewart posted his P/N's on another thread that is where I got them from and as shown above in the pics the # on the spring is a code.

No way the springs came off of an 05. 05s have coil springs on the front. Don't know about the rear ones though.

X — 2C34-5310-AFA, 6,000 lb.
Y — 2C34-5310-VA
Z — 2C34-5310-WA
It seems that the numbers can vary a bit, but the last three alpha characters seem to be consistent.
AC = U code
AD = V code
AE = W code
AF = X code
My V codes are stamped
3 C34 ADA
But I've seen 2 C34 ADB, 3 C34 ADB, 2 C34 ADA... not sure why.

Hmm, rear springs from the 05-07 do fit on Excursions then. Learned something new.

Actually I used the '04 springs in the rear also. When I bought them the last small spring in the pack was missing so I took that one off the '05 pack and installed them that way but I do believe they are the same. The '04's were brand new takeoffs so I went with them. I still have the rear '05 setup with the small spring missing. If someone wants to pick them up in S.E. Florida I would take any reasonable offer. I also have a 30k set of "05 Excursion Diesel Springs that the same offer applies.
