IDK about a sinister but I would think its ok the sinister stuff I have has sbeen good I just dont have the sinister coolant filter
No I dont think any shop would spend the time to really clean the cooling system out good and reverse flush pull thermostat high idel for 45 minutes with VC-9 and flush and flush and flush
And That was about the only thing I didnt do is reverse flush right at the Oil Cooler to EGR Cooler port to clear the oil cooler it might of helped IDK.
My plan was to change the oil cooler at that time too so I didnt worrey about reverse flush at the oil cooler. In Fact I was hoping that the oil cooler would catch all the junk and I would just pull the oil cooler and put a new one in. And looking at the pics from cutting it open it caught all the junk and I dont think I would have been able to reverse flush the oil cooler and have much affect on it It was to far gone

Ok I am about to ask a silly question here...
On the video I posted the installer drained the radiator of coolant. After it is drained, and I tighten the nut back, how would I go about refilling the radiator. In my other cars there is a radiator cap, but I am guessing the truck does not have one. Should I put it in bottle and let the truck run as I put it in?
Also, Should I pick up Ford Gold coolant I have heard everyone speak of? Is the "extended life" that folks have mentioned on here availible at Autoparts stores?

To fill the radiator simply pour the fluid into the degar bottle to the min mark. run to temp (I believe 190.) turn on the heater, let it cool down, top off the degas bottle. There are a lot of threads on here about coolant type. I switched to Zerex ELC and have not looked back (I just pulled my oil cooler and it was 100% blocked. I will pass on Ford coolant!). Have a great day, gm.
I didn't drain my radiator when I installed my kit. I just put the small hose on the T, hooked the other end to the filter base and closed the valve, then quickly cut the hose, stuck on the hose clamps and stuck them back on the T. If you hold the ends up in the air as best you can, you'll only lose a little coolant. Put some towels under it to keep the engine from getting messy.
If you lose coolant. Add back a 50/50 mixture of coolant and water. DO NOT mix coolant types. Unless you're going to flush out all of the Gold, replace the lost coolant with Gold

I probably will drain the coolant, just to get some fresh in there. I did have to put a little bit of coolant in there that wasn't Ford Gold a little while back. No more than a half a gallon...
