front bumper bracket interchangeability

I need front bumper brackets for my 1986 F-350 IDI. I have front bumper brackets from an 87-91 truck. Were they the same for 1986?

Your bolt holes should match up no problem on the frame, not sure if it will fit the bumper you are trying to use.

Yeah, it doesn't look like it would fit the early eighties bumper, I looked at several pictures of them and the hole arrangement is different from the late eighties trucks. Looks like I gotta hunt around some junk yards now...

82-86, then 87-91, then 92-97 were the three different body styles. Front clips, and frame horns were different, and the frame horns 'may' be different from 2wd to 4wd as well.
