STC Fitting Kit Missing Alignment Tool Now What?

Got my HPOP pump out turned the fitting in 5 turns, then instructions say install alignment tool, WTF, International forgot to put tool in kit, now what? Can I install the pump, as is and tighten the branch tube bolts, then tighten the jam nut or will it bend the branch tube and cause me more problems.

I would be willing to bet the techs at the dealership don't even use that tool. But I would at least think you could snug it up, then pull the pump back to to finish torquing it on down...

If you hear otherwise and have no luck at the dealer, PM I will send you mine.

You could be correct but I know there are videos on you tube of techs using it but that could just be for educational purposes

Thats an idea, put it in place snug it up and take it out to torque it. I wonder though if the adapter/fitting would move though, with the torquing of the nut. I've seen the video, only one, that Duke is talking abt. and the guy mentions not even tourqueing it but tightening just till the plastic tool starts to flex, so I'd say it's gotta move.

odds are if you find a tech with one he wont give it up. if I had a customer come in to use it, there would be $100 deposit on the thing.

Just curious also, when I removed the HPOP cover to get at the pup and STC fitting, I had to remove what I think is the ICP from the top of pump, anything I can check on it to see if it's OK before bolting back on?

That should be the IPR. I believe that the STC fitting kit comes with new orings and a new screen for the IPR.

ICP, ICR all these drive me nuts guess it takes a while to get them registered in the brain, I got a **** load of O rings with my STC kit , don't know what half of them are for, I'm changing every one I see as things go back together, but I don't see any screen anywhere and the bag was sealed good.
