go back to were you got it and either ask a tech if they have a plastic one you can have or exchnage it for a kit that does have it at the parts counter.

The most current part number for the STC fitting update kit is 4C3Z-9B246-F to my knowledge (unless it has yet been superceded again). If you have the kit with part number 4C3Z-9B246-E, you don't have the IPR screen and o-rings in that kit. If yours has the F suffix, you should have the plastic alignment tools, as well as the IPR valve screen and o-rings in a small stapled bag within the rest of the kit that includes the fitting, blue pump o-ring gasket and pump cover gasket.

Is it possible to get the screen separate, my kit is missing the screen and the plastic tool, but I did have a separate bag with the blue O ring and some other o rings and the STC fitting with a bigger outside bag with the housing seals and more o rings then I know what to do with. It is actually an IH part #, I can get it tommorrow, but I still missing these 2 items, sucks

This must have been the one that I bought. Your exactly right, it was in a small bag separate from the rest of the kit.

How does your current screen look? If it looks good and you keep everything in the oil valley VERY clean you should be OK.

How hard is it to get to the IPR from inside the van?

Remove the "doghouse". Providing you have the proper IPR socket on hand, a 3/8" drive ratchet and appropriately sized extension along with a swivel will get you there.

Ya it's right there it's a piece of cake, wish the rest of the job was that easy. I found it inside the pump like Cheezit said, it's good, a few specs of dirt I guess I can re-use it , just clean it, or get the one Dukie showed on e-bay, it looks exactly the same.

Dukie I just bought the e-bay one, after looking at it, the screen is good but encased in plastic, figure the that plastic already has 100,000 miles on it, whats another 15 bucks.

Yeah, I think that was a good idea since it came off in the pump like that....

Just curious any of you guys have any doubts on matching the 2 STC fitting O rings with the 20 supplied in the kit. Pump to block, yellow to yellow , same size, except the old one was flat by compression. The branch tube one had me thinking though, it was black, there were 3 blacks in the kit, one was pretty much an exact match, then there was a brown one, which seemed too tight in the branch tube recesss, but close. I put the black one in, fits the recess, but not as snug as the yellow or the black I removed though the one removed was flattened, and it kinda moved around a little, did'nt "snap in" like the yellow, maybe it gets tight from compression as it's flattened? I bolted it up, but can pull it back out as just the cover is on. Anyone else run into this?
