As the car warms up it starts to whine so Dave first thought was power steering, which was low, so I topped that off. Still whining under acceleration. When I drove the car to see first hand what was going on I noticed as soon as the whine starts it starts to shift hard between gears. Bangs in like I just put in a mild shift kit.
Intake is leaking a small amount of antifreeze externally. Not sure about internal. If it is internal it is too small an amount to smell in the exhaust.
That sucks about the tranny Jay! Intake leak is bad enough let alone trans too.

Could have been worse like the airbag going off! Easy to fix light.....remove bulb!
That's pretty cool Troy. I don't know much about those kinds of engines and trannies but is that a "normal" shifter setup or does that have an addition like Gear Vendors set up?

Yeah a lot of the old trannys in trucks were called twin sticks so basically two trans. They had a five and a four speed. We had one in an old grain truck on the farm and it was a handful shifting that thing!
Ok, I watched the twin stick video. The respect I have for the old time truckers! I watched him shift that thing like ten times and it sounded like he was going about 35mph. WTF! That had to be a chore, just think if you had to clutch and slow quickly, remembering what gear you are in or downshifting to a gear. DANG!
That is the chain case gear oil. Not sure what weight it takes but probably about 85W should work fine. Probably drain out anything that might be left and the refill.
It's a 2 stroke. No crank case oil. It is oil injection and mixes it with the gas. There is 2 stroke oil in the plastic reservoir right?
You may want to remove the chain case cover and inspect those parts...maybe get a new gasket. Either that or the drive shaft seal must be leaking. Or you could just add oil and keep an eye on the level. Clean everything up and keep an eye out for leaks.
