I got the track tensioned properly last night. Turns out I didn't have the rear axle loose enough to let it slide forward more. Loosened it a little more and there was all kinds of slack. DUH!!!!!!!!!!
Also got the brake caliper/new brake line on and bled. I like doing brakes on the sled WAY better than the van. Now, to get the motor back in and go through the carbs.
I like the easy solutions even if it was from a DUH moment

LONG but fun day. Andrew had Pinewood Derby race for Cub Scouts today. I built most of the car for him. He has barely enough attention span to do sand it much less focus on the really hard stuff. I had it done, painted and wheels on last night. This morning's task was to put the weights in it. Sounds simple enough. The weights we bought said to use a 3/8' drill bit. 3/8' was too big, but 5/16" wasn't big enough. I could snug them in with a 5/16" hole using a hammer. Unfortunately, as I was doing this, the car split in half the length of the car down the left side. This was an hour and a half before race time. Got some glue and got it clamped back together.
Legal weight limit is 5 oz. After adding a bit more weight, we weighed in at 4.995 oz. Andrew ended up getting the award for most aerodynamic design and took first place in his age category. He was pretty excited. I think he would have done better overall in the pack, but they chopped off a couple of runs because of severe malfunctions with the timing equipment.
Kids bedrooms are painted. Kids' bathroom has the first coat on it. We'll put a second (possibly third) coat on tomorrow.
Well .. time for bed here. It's been a very long few days. Church tomorrow. 2 services, then an All Church meeting after 2nd service.
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying Cor'y's keg!!
