Hey all. It's been awhile since I've been around. I've been busy with other things in life. But, hopefully I can get on here more often again. Anyway, I've picked up my next long drawn out budget project. I had been keeping an eye on this truck for about 3 years in my father in laws trees and he has not had any bites so it was just sitting and getting mice infestations and rotting away. So I decided to buy it. It's a 75 F250 Extended Cab 2wd, 460, C6, Ranger XLT. I got for $900. It took some fooling around to get the truck running and it needs tuned up, but for sitting for 3 years it don't run too bad. Body is in pretty good shape from what I can tell. I"m going to take it apart and do a "budget restoration". Nothing too special, but just enough to get it too look decent. Here are some pics.
Good luck w/ it...nice truck...that is how I started...1st a reg cab, then the supercab, then the bronco, followed by crew #1, 2 parts crews and the additional trucks..welcome to the madness...
Congrats. 'Looks like a good starting point... and complete! That's a definite plus. The typical wheel arch rot isn't not too bad considering its age and the part of the country yer in. The color scheme reminds be of a banana split. LOL.
Nice. Looks kind odd with running boards for a regular cab hanging under the supercab......
Not that they need to be any longer, since there's no rear doors, just looks a tad odd.
Nice looking truck, and as far as a "budget" restoration, forget that idea!
It will never fail, you'll fix or replace something and a week later something else needs replacing.
Well, ....thank you! I put a bed side tool box on my truck and I also have the rocker molding. I never could recall seeing the rocker molding with the tool box and I wasn't sure if you could get it. I see now that you could!
That's a good looking truck and a great price. Good luck with the project!

That's just part of driving American-made, vintage steel that has character and personality.
Hey man, glad your back...good luck with that "budget resto"
Nice truck

Well lets get on it. It has already been a day and I haven't seen any progress. Just messing with ya. You do good work so I know it will turn out great whatever you to do it. Love your 77, its what mine will hopefully look like when I get done with it.

Yeah, you could get it from the factory with the moulding (obviously). It was three separate pieces.
Front piece D3TZ-9929076-E
Door piece D3TZ-9929076-B
Rear piece D3TZ-9929076-D
A few of the front and rear pieces are still avaliable from various dealers but I couldn't locate any of the door pieces.
Buck, nice looking project.....good luck on the "budget" build though.
