Shock Install, Steering Stabilizer - VIDEO
Video in Action
Here is my video.
Just to reiterate the notes on the video -
The road I was on was not long enough to really play with the settings. I started out on 9 front and rear and the oscillations are very much reminiscent of the stock shocks. Then I switched to the "highway" setting, 6 front/3 rear. Although the camera is not on a "sturdy" mount you can certainly get an idea of whats going on with the ride quality. Pay attention to after the settings change - you can sense the vibration in the camera settle down a bit.
When I get a chance I am hoping I can get a better video. The road wasn't in the right conditions long enough for me to get much, but I got something!!!

I ordered these part numbers for my truck
Front: RS999042
Rear: RS999047
I have a 2011 F-350. The reason why I did not order the RS999254 was because it is listed as an F-250 Part number for the 2011 and 2009 trucks. Since the P/Ns are the same for both years, I looked at a 2009 F-350 and it has the 047 PN. This is why I went with the different part number as I believe that the 254 is designed for the F-250. I'm sure they will both work just fine, but I think the shock parts of the suspension are pretty much the same as the 08-10 models.
That was my choice. I have not installed them yet, but once I get them this week, I'll keep y'all updated.

Installed the shocks today. Hit the bolts with PB blaster last night and everything went on pretty smoothly.
As for the ride, no difference on a smooth road (but there shouldn't right!). Huge difference on rutted roads, bridge expansion joints, and man hole covers. No more does the truck dive in the direction of the truck's velocity vector after hitting one of those bumps. The front end is much better planted than before.
My front right shock would not rebound. The left shock would rebound after a few minutes. The rear shocks from Ford seemed okay.

It was cold and windy. I did the install in my garage..it was tight an a few cuss words were used in addition to the PB blaster, but all is good.
My biggest recommendation to those in the salt belt doing the install, wear safety glasses. It keeps the road dirt / salt out of your eyes.

Now, my last oil change... That's another story. 40mph winds and draining the oil pan don't mix. At least I thought ahead and was just wearing my undershirt...
Sweet. Thanks Matt!

"I asked if he would just order the part numbers I got from Rancho and he would not because "then they wouldn't fit and it would be his fault" but he'd order some other shocks if I wanted. I said I want the 9000s and he flat out said "No". I called Rancho back and talk to the tech guys again and they said there are 3 of them, all senior guys, and no one else had called them so the guy is lying.
Classic bait and switch. I will find a reputable dealer. 4wheelonline.com will never get a $ out of me and I may just call my lawyer...I hate rude *********s.
P.I.T.S. I ran into a simular problem w/ my 2011 F-350. Even TruckAddOns said Rancho does not list "Stock" height for my truck. I called Rancho, and was told by them that there is NOT a 9000 series for the F-350 2011 Stock height truck. Then I saw on this site that someone found out if you lookup 2010 F-350 stack height, take those p/n's you are good to go. I called TruckAddOns back (Jamie) and they are on the way. The salesman was very friendly/curtious.
If you go to rancho's site...they don't even sell them. When you do the research, Rancho's P/Ns site is all kinds of screwed up. Its not 4wheelonline's problem.
I called and got the same problem. I instead, did the research and ordered the shocks for a 2009 Ford F-350 and they got to my house in 3 days. I was mad at them at first, but further investigation showed me its not their fault. Its Rancho's problem. Its not a bait and switch. Cool down a bit and take a look around. The system is messed up.
This is why we had the discussion for which part numbers to buy.

It is their fault. The guy did not want to listen to me even when I told him I had the correct part numbers. I tried to send him the link to the Rancho site posted above with the my specific truck listed. He told me "he could care less what that website says...he had been dealing with "his guy at Rancho" for over a year now and who should he believe? Him? or some random customer?" He lied to me and told me he just called Rancho and they told him they don't make them but he sure would sell me something else. The guys at Rancho just laughed and said all three of them were there the whole time and he never called. I asked if he would just order the part numbers I had and he wouldn't and got beligerant. I wish I would have recorded the conversation because no potential customer deserves to be treated like that.
I'll buy them from anyone else but them.

I was 92% kidding for Sgt's sake.
but man that torques my lug nuts when someone who you are trying to give money to treats you like garbage. I am a nice guy and know how customer service should work. I also know how bait and switch works. He was the latter.
