Alright guys. I'm having trouble locating part numbers for a 2011 F-350 SRW with the stock ride height shocks. I've had two guys tell me Rancho doesn't make the 9000 series for a stock ride height and I'm sure as heck not putting a lift on the truck.
Any help? Rancho's site doesn't list shocks either
Note that the rear shocks are different between a 250 and 350. The 350 is a couple inches higher and takes a tad longer shock.
Glad to hear you're going for the shocks Steve. I'll be around town on and off for quite some time so when you get them let me know and I can give you a hand
I am replacing the shocks with the RS9000XL Rancho. I need some help........ The Rear of my stock 2011 F-350 SRW CC LongBed Fx4 has a cast iron block between the springs and the flat bracket attached to the axle. This "block" is 3.75 inches high. Which Rancho 9000's do I order??
2.5 inch lift or 4" lift ?? I would assume 4" lift. Thanks Folks
Yes, the truck has not been altered at all. The part number ...9047 is for 2.5" lift (rear) The Block is 3.75". p/n: ....9261 for 4" lift. I am confused???
And then the front, there is no lift that I know of ??? Which ones for the front?? 2.5" lift ....9043 - or 4" lift ...9044
Is the block on the rear of your truck 3.75" ?
Also, Rancho's web site indicates the ....9254 is for the F-250 ???
Your truck (same as mine, different motor) is a couple inches taller than a F250 in regards to the rear height. So, according to this link, the stock F250 takes a rear RS9000XL of RS999254 at stock height. If you were to add a 2.5" (rear) lift to that stock F250 (which is essentially the F350), then you'd be still be using the same shock, part number RS999254.
For the fronts, if you had a leveling kit (2.5" lift), you'd use RS999043, but it sounds like you don't, so you'd use RS999042.
I confirmed this with the Rancho guy here on FTE, but by all means, feel free to contact them for verification. I can't imagine the diesels get a different shock than the gassers, but stranger things have happened.
Before I saw your reply, I talked with Rancho.com I edited my post with what they told me for part numbers. They claimed there is not a "stock" shock for the front. You use the p/n for 2.5" lift. They also indicated the ...9254 is for dual rear wheels. Hell.... I don't know ??
Stay tuned - I made a video tonight, its publishing right now. Not very long but it illustrates the effectiveness of the MyRide system and "taming" the oscillations - enough to see it in the video. However, I need to get on a longer stretch of this road because after the part of this video I'm using it was useless for my project - not the right conditions to oscillate.
