Won't Stop Crankin'
Hey,
I apologize if this has been covered earlier, but i can't find it.
Went out this morning to start the truck. Only I was in a hurry (left the girls inside) and talking on the phone. Forgot to wait on the glow plug light to go off before starting it. As soon as I turned the key, I remembered and quickly shut it off. But it kept cranking. And cranking. Ignition is off, key is out and I can just hear the starter slowing and dollar signs flash in my mind.
Eventually the truck started (30-45 sec), and was fine afterward. I'd love to fix what is wrong, but I don't know where to start. No codes stored. I would assume a relay, but the local parts store couldn't find one listed. Anybody have a clue?

Starter relay control might be getting sticky or wore out. or a short in your key switch or wiring to key switch since it started i would think it would be in either the wiring to your ignition or your ignition switch

there is a wiring diagram in there on page 61 that shows you whats going on under there somewhat.
