MY 86 B2 2.9 w/AT won't start w/the key. I can jump the starter relay and it fires right up and runs great. Turn the key and NOTHING but the idiot lights.
I've replaced starter relay, neutral safety switch, ignition switch (on steering column), distributor mounted TFI, ignition coil, battery and cables. What's left? I am going to install a remote starter switch next if I've replaced all that I can w/out rebuilding the entire electrical system. So will someone tell me what I am missing?????????? Thanks.
By "ignition switch are you referring to the one I replaced (which is held by two screws to the steering column) or where the key is inserted? Yes to the wiring diagram.
He means the switch, the lock cylinder is were you put the key.
A good test is to see if you have 12v at the little wire at the starter solenoid, it activates the starter solenoid, when the key is turn to the start position, no 12v bad wiring or switch.
