Those d60 are heavy mothers. Probably take 3 guys to get it into a pickup bed. Tractor and bucket be good. When I got mine I used my snowmobile trailer and rolled it on by myself, not fun. It was hard to secure also. But should fit length ways with plenty of room
they should fit in a short box diagonally, i lifted mine to the back of my truck alone, which i will never attempt again. i did it in stages. i made steps out of buckets or milk crates, and lifted one side a foot at a time till it was to the tailgate lol. two can lift it, painfully...
when I got mine the guy pulled the motor, tranny, fenders, and took a torch and wacked the frame off behind leaf spring mounts and said here ya go! used tractor and loader to sit it in bed of long bed truck on a couple of old tires. for $1300. Drove straight home and started hacking the ttb six hours later I was crusin on my solid axle.
A couple days ago I was all about doing this mod as I located a complete one for slightly under a thousand. The guys says it's in good shape, but hard to tell from pictures. However, it had roughly 200k on it and I can get my TTB completely rebuilt for that. I know, I know.. I'll be doing it again in another 5 years, but I just don't put the miles on it like I used to. I'm lucky to 7k a year on it anymore.
Yep, when I wanted to convert mine from dually to SRW I posted it in a few different places and ended up finding a member here on FTE who was only 2 hours away from me who traded axles with me and even helped me swap it in!
