I wanna swap my twin to a solid, Any specifics I gotta do? My truck has a 8in lift, but its all leaf spring, shocks. And the I-beam has those brackets. Does a solid axle need anything besides the leafs, shocks, steering?
You just need to remove the center TTB brackets and slide the dana 60 in there. Don't need to change springs or anything, just steering arms.
You might need to switch the hubs/rotors depending on what year axle. From 87-94 they had a old style caliper with a 12.5" rotor, from 95-97 they switched to the newer caliper and 13" rotor.
The hubs will swap from the TTB to the Dana 60 no problem.
As far as price it just depends on condition and where you are. I paid $350 for mine, '94 Dana 60 without hubs/rotors and 3.54 gears. But for a complete axle with steering arms and everything in good condition you could be paying $800+
The ones im looking at came out off a 1995 f250, so im guessing thats a dana 60. My truck is a 1997. So it all should just be a drop and replace deal right?

That's correct. Just take out the Dana 50 TTB axle and brackets, bolt the D60 under it and hook up the steering. You'll want to put the track-bar from the dana 60 on though to keep the axle centered better.
make sure that is a Dana 60 before you bother going for it.
if it is from a 95 F-250, it will be a d-50 ttb just like you have in your truck unless someone swapped in a Dana 60
He said it was a straight axle under the front and the rear. Said he had all the suspension, leafs, rotors, no locking hubs. But mostly everything else he says.
