Blue Smoke when engine is cold
I have a 2002 7.3 diesel bone stock. Just recently replaced the injector cups so a huge thanks to everyone that had write ups on this. Since the injector cup replacement I have had blue smoke pouring out of the exhaust when I start the truck up in the morning and anytime after it has been sitting a few hours. Idle is rough at first as soon as it warms up smoke disappears and truck is running smooth again. I have read and searched the forum for any information and it seems a few people are having the same issue but, I have not found any fixes. Also I am not getting any codes and my gas mileage has dropped considerably. Any information or help is appreciated.

I have a 2004 F350 6.0 and mine does the same thing in these cold michigan nights. I havent noticed a drop in fuel econ, went from 21.4 to 20.0 mpg hwy in the cold weather. Gets better mpg when its above 50 degrees. It just smells like crap until the guage hits the cold mark. Idles rough with blueish smoke for a min the clears up and purrs like a kitten
