6.0 mod what next?

Hi guys,

I'm running a 06 F350 with a 6.0 in it. I've got a banks monster 4 inch exhaust, blue spring upgrade, I've got an airaid intake (sitting in my garage got it real cheap) I'm running Xtreme street tune from Innovative Diesel. I've also got HIDS in the headlights and fog light. I've changed the interior bulbs to LED's. I made my own custom rear driving lights to the up lifter switch. I wired in dixie air horn to another up lifter switch. Edge insight to monitor all guages. I've pretty much have the truck the way I want it right now. I'm wondering what should I do next? I've been looking at the CFM small mouth intake manifold. I'm not sure it's worth it anybody running one? I'm going to change out the plastic intercooler pipe to the metal one. I just don't trust plastic tube with the heat under the hood.

I agree on getting rid of the plastic tube for metal, no need to worry about the intake elbow unless you run into a good deal and want to spend the $$

Your going to want to keep a very close eye on the EGT, EOT and COT minimum with a good set of gauges or Scangauge II etc. It's imperative you keep the EOT, COT delta below 15 degrees. What's the HP rating of the extreme street tune? You may want to start saving for ARP head studs and new OEM head gaskets as well as an EGR delete and maybe a Bulletproof Diesel remote oil cooler.

My pockets are that deep yet. Ok thanks for the elbow info. I've seen them for $169.00. Metal tube is a must IMO.

I'm watching the ECT and EOT on my Edge thing they are below 15 degree difference. I forgot I'm running Cat ELC coolant and have the sinister coolant filter on it. Not 100 percent sure yet on HP I haven't dynoed the truck yet but that's soon. They (Innovative Diesel) have tunes for trucks that are studded and no studded. I got the tunes for non studded, with the xtreme street tune was told it shuts off the EGR so no need to delete it. I also got 2 more tunes for towing that also shut off the EGR. The bulletproof Diesel remote oil cooler?? does that replace the stock 1??

yes. It moves the oil cooler out of the valley to a liquid to air cooler mounted behind the AC condensor

As the previous post indicates, it relocates the cooler to the condensor, liquid to air. It replaces the stock oil filter with a remote high capacity spin on mounted in the left side wheel well. The upgrade is pricey but well worth every cent and is extremely heavy duty. The original filter housing is left in place and is empty as is the original oil cooler galley.
