i just bought 2006 f-250 6.0 and all this talk about EGR delete and head studs and tuners, how do you know id the egr has been taken off? the info on here about it is very lacking in that department. also the truck has the banks 6 gun tuner with the IQ engine moniter mounted on the dash. problem is nobody wants it cause apearently it has caused many problems in the past. what exactly was the problem with the banks tuner?
Tech Folder has the links to the 6.0 Bible, you will find a limitless supply of pictures and descriptions. Visual inspection once you know the locations will reveal if the EGR cooler has been eliminated or head studs installed because you can visually see the studs at the bottom outside of the heads.
OK... the only flash device or inline tuner that managed to handle the transmission along with engine perimeters was the Flash tuner offered by Super Chips (SCT) where you could purchase out of the box generic tunes or have custom tunes written to your taste.
Diablo Predator did a great job of flashing the FICM, SCT does not, but only bumped the pressure to the transmission.
Any questions, now that I have you fully confused, can be answered and the guys here are willing to help you along.
