transfer case

I am going to purchase a transmission form a guy I know for my 94 f150 and I thought it might be easer to just take his transfer case and put it all in together but his 4wd shift is the electric switch and mine is on the floor, is it possible to take the parts off of his transfer case and just bold my old linkage to it ? its out of a bronco same year I think e40d trans

I would just look at it to tell but he lives like an hour from me so I dont want to waist a trip

Unless your transfer case is busted, I would just swap yours onto the new transmission..

If the trans fluid is burned wouldn that mean its going througj the transfer case that would tear up the gears right?

no. the fluid cant reach the t-case unless the output seal is blown on the tranny, and the input seal is blown on the t-case. even then, burnt tranny fluid wont just wipe the t-case out.

electric shift is bogus. use your t-case.

Sounds great some one told me other wise so i was unclear .ill let everyone know how it goes. Any suggestions on whre to buy a trans if i dont pick this one up?
