This is my second oil change on the truck. I didn't test the first change with the factory break-in oil. After seeing some of the other reports posted here I am happy with 1.5% fuel dilution. I am used to <0.5 dilution on my 6.0 for the life of the vehicle. Everything else appears to be normal to me, but I welcome the opportunity to learn something new if someone else has any suggestions or observations.
Nothing really out of line here which is a good thing. I'm sure you could achieve the same results on Rotella Synthetic or Mobil TDT for alot less $$$$.
Aluminum does seam a little high on these 6.7's though, but nothing to worry about.
1.5% is good. I think the days of less than 0.5% are over for now until the regen process is further refined.
Is your driving mostly highway towing?
I would be thrilled with 1.5%.
Factory oil wasn't tested in mine.

Thanks. I have often thought about switching to save a few dollars and even to try something different where I could get a better result. I have been using the current product so long without issue in so many machines that it is hard to make the switch. I go through so many fluids on the farm that I buy in bulk, usually pick up a pallet full of product from the warehouse (conveniently located near me) a couple times a year, and the cost isn't too bad when it all averages out.

Thanks. I hope my fuel dilution stays around 1.5% or less - probably wishful thinking on my part. 99% of my driving and towing is highway. I never leave the rig sit an idle although my hour meter is already up to 52 hours of idle time with a total of 423 hours.

An idle of 12.29% of engine hours is good, too.
Much better than my 22%.
