Moving right along upgrading the 66/100.....AS far as I know,, the truck has the original wiper switch. I want to put a delay switch in it. What have any of you guys done before that works real good ?? I am anxious to get a delay in the wiper...It has only one speed, and that is not condusive for mist !! Thanks,, Dan
Dan you will need to get a 2 spd wiper motor, swap the arm off the end, (keep the old for correct parking).
Find a rotating delay switch from any number of Ford vehicle donors. It is all plug & play. Cars trucks vans can be a donor. Some have a slider and would have to be modded in to work.
The delay setup(switch and module) are truck and van unique...they are not interchangable from one to the other. Vans have the slider switch and intermittent parts for those are an easier find, BUT if you want to keep the original look you will want the truck switch to use the same hole on the dash.

Don, Where did you get that crap from? As long as the switch is rotating as noted it sure can be used.

The delay switch isn't truck unique, when you consider...
D1OZ-17A553-A .. Wiper Switch-Use with Intermittant (delay) Wipers (Motorcraft SW-1010).
Just to add; to everyones comment; I usually get a 2 spd motor from a 70's truck; and the delay switch and harness from 80's model. Just don't drop the black box; its even written on the box; they will damage easy. As mention pull & play, if your trying to get it to blend in with your head light switch; (lenght) you'll need to cut off roughly 3/8 inch off the tip of the switch **** rod. don't cut any more than that; if you want to convert it also to use windshield washer mode as well.
The truck switch(D1OZ17A553A) is the round **** type like in our 61-66 trucks...the van switch is the slider type switch(D3AZ17A553A). the vans setup is a large(compared to our trucks dash switch area) square hole...about 3" wide...and has a large plastic bezel which installs in the dash itself...
As to the truck switch..it was used on the cars Bill mentioned..I stand corrected...BUT, when was the last time you saw a 71 model car in a boneyard of the models he noted ??
The governor(what makes the wipers actually delay IS unique to trucks...D3TZ17C476A...73-77 F100-350 trucks ONLY...with the sole exception of 73 Mustang. The 78-79 governor is also used on Bronco(78-9) it wasnt used on any later model cars. I dont know about the trucks as thats the one catalog I lack at the moment...Im hoping Santa will bring it my way...Along with the 57-63 truck 57-64 car catalog.
