Does anyone know if a 67-72 wiper switch will work in a 66,none of the discount parts stores can get one for a 66 but one is available for a 67 to 72. Jeff
Jeff: Search this forum for the instructions on how to do this upgrade. It is more than just a switch, but you will get two speed wipers and wiper delay out of it.
Simple answer is no. 64-66 had single and 2 speed wipers avail. The breaking point was serial #760,001 . 67 has a different switch and that year is all by itself. 68 show even a different switch. If you want, I can try the locator for a NOS one, just post ladst 6 of serial number and if it's single or two speed. The other alternative is the delay wiper set up as Banjo mentions. I believe it uses the stuff from a 73-79 pickup or bronco.
Posted simular post "wiper switch alert" for my 65 few days ago. Found 2 speed replacement switch. One of the parts suppliers wanted $75 and i went with another who charged $50 which included the shipping and handling. Pricey, but what are ya going to do. May go with the upgrade at later date, if considering same suggest purchasing switch new with the delay, and salvage motor. As another member mentioned in thread i posted, there is a picture of simular upgrade in another Ford forum. If you run a google search and narrow field to '67-72 Ford Trucks you should find article. Expect the switch i ordered in couple days.
Insig8r63- Yes, I know 61-63 had 2 speeds, but for some reason they ask for the last 6 .
Junkyard- The one you need is C6TZ 17A553-B 7 terminals
