Engine coolant
I've got a low mileage truck, 01 F250 with 40,000 mi, I was working on recently (details in another thread) and noticed the coolant was a little low. It came a little low from the factory and I just kept an eye on it.
How much, if any, coolant should I be loosing? Its hard to explain and I'm at work right now but the level has dropped to the point that its just at the part of the tank where the tank gets wide.
Secondly what coolant is everybody using? I did a little search and although I know the newer engines were picky with the type of coolant I never knew of al the types, additives, and what the heck is everybody talking about test strips. Most of these dicussions are about Diesels. I am just looking for suggestions for my little gas 5.4 with the factory green coolant.
