Ya I have a DP and tunes as of now. They are tuned for stock injectors and turbo though. I was thinking I'll buy a 6 pos, get live tuned, then sell the dp

Were them DP tunes set up for the stock pcm or the NVK4 ? And since you have the NVK4 that will help when it comes to the TS tunes. The TS has issues with the stock e99 pcm. So I have heard from a few different guys.
I just sent a check to a guy in Idaho (from another forum) who was selling his old e99 turbo with Hi flow outlet, 1.0 turbine housing and a non ebpv pedestal. And he has since upgraded to a HOT set up on his E99 and it dynoed 549hp 1000+ft/lbs of torque. But he had run both TS and DP tunes. But he said he couldn't get the #'s he was looking for out of the live tuning with the TS. But with the same set up and DP live tuning he was able to get the 549hp. I think that speaks for it's self.
Now I shouldn't be telling you this because I might be interested in the DP tunes.

Haha no worries on telling me that. I do have the NVK4 and it was set for that pcm. Since I will be switching to the late 99 set up and have the 2000 pcm, Im sure I will be able to get the full potential out of the 6 pos and live tuning right?
Good to know you are interested in the DP too. I will keep that in mind.
And DAAANG !! thats a lot of power. What all is he running?

Well the Dp tunes won't work for me I have the e99 pcm And every guy (4 guys) I have ever know to run both the TS & DP. All of them are running DP tunes now. Of course you will get more out of any live tuning compared to off the shelf tunes. It doesn't matter who's tunes but it just seems to me that Jody/DP knows how to get alittle more out of it when it comes to live tuning. Now mind you I don't have any tunes myself yet for my truck. And I am not going to go out and buy something because a few guys say it is Good stuff or the price is right. I let other people spend their money and I get to learn from their mistakes. So all I can say is talk to someone who has run both.
I will say when I have the money I am going with DP tunes.
My only concern has been timing issues with larger injectors from dp. I can say that with my new set up and tunes from cale it idles better than it ever did with dp and the throttle is much smoother
Sorry to hear about the non compatable pcm. I'd give you my old one but the only reason I got a new one is because I fried it haha.
Dont get me wrong, I loooove my dp tunes. But PHP is doing live tuning only 3 hours away and I want to get everything on and live tuned before June. Because I could be working in Hawaii starting in july. Id have no luck getting live tuned out there. DP doing live tunes out here any time soon?
Oh Really?! well by the time I paid for a 6 pos and $250 for live tuning, I might as well stick with my DP and drop the $500. Im going to have to call them to confirm that one. Maybe I can get my stage 2's before then even.
So back to the topic since I basically know what i am doing with my truck now.
HP ESTIMATE ?
Setup:
.Turbonetics Torque Master Ball Bearing Turbo
.Stage II Single Shot 160cc 100% Nozzle Injectors
.Terminator T-500 High Pressure Oil Pump
.Tyrant Diesel, Tony Wildman, or DP Tunes (Live or Not)
.6637 Air Intake System
.4" Turbo Back Exhaust
I am shooting for 4 and change. I think that the setup I have listed will definitely allow for that.
Yeah. It shouldn't be hard at all to break 400 since I am doing it on a bone-stock 2000 (yes, it's ALL stock save for a stock 95-97 muffler and 160/100% injectors). My ICP suffers a bit at that power level and the stock turbo hates me, but it does it. Pretty damn fun for a 12 year old truck with 251K miles on it!
You should be right at 425 or more (up to 450) with good high pressure oil and a bit more exhaust air flow through the turbine housing.
