Broke down
i would say just like everyone else is saying check your uvch if there good pull the harness off the top of the icp and see if it will run if none of the above helps look in the valley down near the back of the hpop and see if the tin nut has came loose from the ipr valve if so that could be your problem as well.. just my 2 cents hope u get it back on the road
Im leaning towards changing the UVCH because it seems to do diffrent things when I unplug it.
Check Engine light?
Quit all together?
Wait to start light not going out?
may also wanna check that connector on the fire wall at the pcm. i thought i saw u mentioned something about wanting to know if it has a chip may have a chip losing connection or someone may have taken the chip out and didnt tighten the bolt in the back of the pcm securely just a thought

Two diffrent trucks.
I know i have a chip/programer in this one.
Its a Edge Evolution.
I just bought a 99 its the one Im wondering about the chip.
Ok , so im gathering up parts to take with me in a rescue mission.
Ive got one side UVCH (Hope they arent side specific?) .
Any tips on taking the drivers side valve cover off?
Any thing I have to watch for?

The drivers side is the easiest. When you undo the harness over the top of the valve cover check that for any rubbing or chafing where it contacts the valve cover.
Could be something with the idm or relays. Do you have a scanner to take with you? Might try swapping the idm and pcm relays with the blower motor. The wait to start light is controlled by the pcm so that could be another possibility. I would try to fix that fuse first. Is it just a programmer or also have a chip or plug and play device? I'm not familiar with it.

A plug in play i guess you would call it.
