Sorry I posted this question in the wrong forum, So I'll post it here....
2000 Exc.7.3L
Started home from work yesterday and rough running. Would not excellerate just bogged down when I stepped on the pedal. It seemed to be misfiring on the left side (drivers side). So I took the valve cover off to inspect the UVC wireing. It didn't seem to be faulty, I unpluged all the connectors and inspected and reinstalled everything. When I attempted to start it ran like it was firing all wrong (barely would run) worst than before. Could the CPS possibly be bad ? Or did I miss something under the valve cover ?

did you inspect under both valve covers or just one?
To hott-rodd,
Yes.. I checked and changed the fuel filter. I'm running a inline Dahl fuel fltr/seperator also. So I don't think it's a fuel problem. Don't know what the fuel pressure is.
To Budkole,
I only inspected the left side because that was the side that seemed to be running rough.
I had it towed to my mechanic yesterday. Will post results after it has been diagnosed.
It is probably the wire harness on the rigt side. Thats what it sounds like. When your mechanic calls you, ask to look at it before they do the work. If its the harnesss, its only $15 from the international dealer, if you need one. Or maybe it needs to just be pushed back together. Hopefully its that simple.
