I need some clarification (oil related)
Hey fellas,
I wanna change out the oil in my power steering and transfer case. I have a "06-6.0 PSD 4x4. My owners manual says to use Mercon ATF. From what I understand, Mercon V replaced Mercon ATF, is this correct? I went looking for Mercon ATF at the store today and I couldn't find it. Seems like a dozen or so oils I looked at said on the bottle that they were compatible with Mercon, Dextron III, and a bunch of other oils. It shouldn't be a complicated decision, but my head is spinning.
Can someone please set me straight?
