I want the keyfob that has all the functions on it, unlock, lock, alarm, and start. I dont want the kit that requires you to carry an extra transmitter besides your key less entry one.
You would also need the PATS interface/bypass kit.
that's a good price on the Gold system. You do know that to install this system requires splicing of all of the wires (around 16 or so total wires to splice into the factory wires). I have this same system on my 09 truck.

I currently have a factory alarm on my truck, the dealer said its an active alarm, so all i really want is the remote start option all in they same keyfob. What does the Gold system mean...whats included. I dont know much about it.
Gold - keyless entry, rmst, and alarm all in one system (6-button fob). Used to include a siren for the alarm several years ago, but now it just uses the horn. The brain unit has a built-in shock sensor for the alarm.
Bronze - rmst only (1-button fob)
they also used to have a Silver kit - keyless entry and rmst (4-button fob), but it was discontinued a few years ago.
